"This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD and 2K. For more information visit http://www.PeriscopeFilm.com"
Can the VGA-resolution versions of these videos here at archive.org be used freely in any project, or are they also subject to usage fees?

Periscope replies:
"All of the uploads that you see from our company on Archive.org are part of our extensive film library. We place viewers on Archive for public benefit and as an educational resource.
We have a special place on Archive called "PeriscopeFilm" that most of our material resides in. But we recently began posting a new set of videos to Archive and unfortunately some videos ended up outside that area by mistake. We are trying to find out how to fix this error because it does become confusing.
The long and short of it is, you are welcome to use our materials for non-commercial purposes. People who wish to use our material for commercial purposes such as stock footage for production must obtain a license from us."
